Travelling 100% CO2 neutral

Although LiliO Design has a goal to be as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible, we some times have to travel by air to visit customers or do on-site work. MyClimate.org gives us the chance to neutralize our CO₂ emissions at the same time as we support positive projects around the world.

Carbon offset through sustainability and social compatibility

In Norway the MyClimate.org project is run by The Future in Our Hands, Norway's largest social change organization, with 20,000 members. The organization works for fair distribution of goods, business ethics, environmental protection and reduced consumption of natural resources.

MyClimate.org climate tickets fund sustainable energy projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In addition to fulfilling a stringent set of criterias to guarantee a projects the integrety, all projects have an emphasis on contributing to sustainable development, social and economic compatibility.

Cost to customers

Climate tickets cost about ¢1 per kilometer of flight. When we need to fly as a part of a project where you pay travel costs, the climate ticket's price will be included. A climate ticket for a return trip London–New York would cost approximately $71 on economy class.

Why not just buy Kyoto CO₂ quotas?

With the recent publication of the UN reports on global warming, the results of CO₂ emissions has become even clearer, and many have seen the CO₂ quotas outlined in the Kyoto protocol as the solution to the problem. Unfortunately, many countries have been allotted quotas for more CO₂ than what is currently being produced. That means buying a CO₂ quota may not be the same as polluting less.

We recommend all of our customers to pay their climate ticket too, when travelling!
